Propvora offers seven types of portal. Each one is built around a different relationship with a property, so the person using it sees what is relevant to them. Your portal's type is shown next to its name when you sign in.

The seven portal types

  • Tenant portal: for people renting a property. Typically used for messages with the property team, maintenance requests, tenancy documents, statements and tenancy details.
  • Landlord portal: for landlords whose properties are managed by a property team. Typically used for messages, maintenance approvals, documents, statements and income.
  • Owner & investor portal: for property owners and investors who want a view of the properties they own and the money they generate.
  • Applicant portal: for people applying to rent a property, so they can stay in touch with the property team during the application.
  • Guarantor portal: for guarantors who support a tenant's tenancy and need access to the information that relates to their guarantee.
  • Contractor portal: for contractors and tradespeople who carry out work for the property team.
  • Leaseholder portal: for leaseholders in buildings managed by a property team.

Which portal will I get?

Your property team chooses the portal type when they invite you. You do not need to pick one yourself. If you have more than one role, for example you are a landlord with one team and a tenant with another, you may be invited to more than one portal. After you sign in, Propvora lists the portals shared with your email address so you can open the right one.

Does every portal include the same features?

No. The portal type sets the general purpose, and your property team decides what to share within it. Two tenants with different property teams may see slightly different things, depending on how each team has set up its portals.

Portals and other Propvora accounts

A portal is different from a workspace. Contractors who want to run their own business in Propvora, with their own team and jobs, can set up a supplier workspace through supplier onboarding. A contractor portal, by contrast, is a limited view a property team gives to a contractor it works with. Read What are portals? for more on the difference.

Quick answers

Can I change my portal type?

No, only your property team can change it. Contact them if you think you have been given the wrong type of portal.

Can I have more than one portal?

Yes. If different property teams invite you, or one team invites you in more than one role, each portal appears in your list after you sign in.
