How commissions work
On direct short-stay bookings the commission is taken from the host payout, out of your listed price: 8% on Base, 6.5% on Starter and Pro, and 5% on Agency and Scale. Guests pay the listed price plus a 1% service fee and card processing at cost, itemised at checkout. Bookings imported from other channels by iCal carry no commission and no guest fee.
When does upgrading pay for itself? Starter pays for itself above £3,267 a month of direct bookings. Agency beats Starter above £13,400 a month. Every paid plan also includes the Agent.
