Payment Protection is a contractual workflow that Propvora provides on top of payment services supplied by Stripe. When you pay for an eligible order, your payment is a Protected Payment: it is released to the provider only when the release rules in your order are met, or as decided under the Marketplace Dispute Resolution Policy.
What you will see
- Payment funded: Stripe has confirmed your payment for this order or milestone.
- Payment awaiting release: the work has been submitted and you are reviewing it.
- Payment released: the provider's share has been released to their payment account.
- Payment refunded or partially refunded: money has been returned to you.
- Payment under review: an issue is open and release is paused.
What it is not
Rent, tenancy deposits and holding deposits never go through the Marketplace and are not covered. Subscription and advertising charges paid to Propvora are separate platform charges.

The full rules are in the Payment Protection Terms and the Marketplace Terms.
Quick answers
Is Payment Protection insurance?
No. It is a contractual workflow that controls when a Protected Payment is released. It does not guarantee the quality or outcome of the work beyond your order terms and your legal rights.
