Finance is the part of Propvora designed to bring the money side of property operations into view: what rent is expected, what has been received, what is outstanding and what each property costs to run.
What the module is for
Property finances are often split across bank statements, spreadsheets and accounting software, which makes simple questions hard to answer. Finance is intended to help with questions like:
- Which tenants have paid this month and which are behind?
- What has each property earned and cost over a period?
- What should a landlord or owner see on their statement?
Rent tracking, alongside compliance, is included on every plan, including free Base.
What Finance is not
It is worth being clear about the limits. Propvora is a property operations tool. Finance is not accounting software, it does not provide accounting or tax advice, and it is not a regulated client money service. Propvora does not hold rent or deposits on your behalf. Keep using your bank, your accountant and any client money protection arrangements you already have, and take professional advice on tax and accounts.
How it connects to other modules
Rent expectations come from tenancies, and every figure relates back to a property. Job costs from Work and supplier invoices are part of the cost picture. Reports are intended to summarise performance across the portfolio. Landlords and owners may see statements and income through their portal, where the property team has given them access.
How to prepare now
- For each tenancy, note the rent amount, frequency and due date.
- Make a current list of arrears, with amounts and how long they have been outstanding.
- Gather recent property costs, such as repairs, service charges and insurance.
- Agree with landlords or owners what they expect to see in a statement.
- Keep your existing accounting records as they are; Finance is designed to sit alongside them.
Quick answers

Can I use Finance instead of an accountant?
