Tenancies is the part of Propvora that connects people to properties. It is designed to hold the key facts about each tenancy so that your team can see who lives where, on what terms, and what needs attention next.

What the module is for

Running tenancies well in the UK means keeping on top of a lot of dates and paperwork. Tenancies is intended to help you keep that information in one place rather than spread across emails and spreadsheets, for example:

  • Who the tenants are and which property or unit they occupy.
  • Start dates, end dates, rent amounts and rent frequency.
  • Key moments in the tenancy, such as move-in, renewals and move-out.
  • Records that relate to the start of a tenancy, such as deposit protection details and Right to Rent checks.

Propvora is a tool to help you organise this information. It does not replace legal advice, and you remain responsible for meeting your obligations as a landlord or agent.

How it connects to other modules

Each tenancy sits against a property from the Properties module. Rent expectations feed into Finance. Tenancy-related obligations, such as deposit protection and Right to Rent records, are the kind of thing the Compliance module is designed to track. Messages with tenants belong in Communications, and agreements and inventories belong in Documents.

Tenants and landlords can also be invited to portals, where they can see their own information. The pricing page lists tenant and landlord portals as part of the Pro plan and above.

How to prepare now

  • For each property, list the current tenants and their contact details.
  • Gather tenancy agreements, start and end dates and the agreed rent.
  • Note where each deposit is protected and keep the scheme reference.
  • Keep a record of when Right to Rent checks were done and when any follow-up checks are due.
  • Flag tenancies coming up for renewal or ending in the next few months.
