Propvora uses a small set of terms consistently. Here's what each one means.

Accounts and access

  • Account: your personal sign-in, tied to your email address. One account can belong to several workspaces.
  • Workspace: an isolated space belonging to one organisation, holding its data and its team. Types include property management, supplier, home (customer) and affiliate.
  • Workspace switcher: the control at the top left of a workspace for moving between workspaces you belong to.
  • Role: what someone can do in a workspace. Roles are owner, admin, member and viewer.
  • Portal: a secure, focused view that a property team shares with someone outside their organisation, such as a tenant or owner.
  • Sign-in link: a one-time link emailed to portal users instead of a password.
  • MFA: multi-factor authentication. A six-digit code from an authenticator app, required for Propvora platform administrators.

Property operations

  • Property and unit: a property is a building or home; a unit is a lettable part of it, such as a flat or room.
  • Tenancy: the agreement between a landlord and tenant for a unit, with its dates, rent and deposit.
  • Work: maintenance requests, jobs and tasks.
  • PPM: planned preventative maintenance, meaning recurring work that's scheduled before something breaks, such as annual boiler servicing.
  • Compliance: the certificates, checks and licences a let property needs, such as gas safety, EICR and EPC.
  • Supplier: a contractor or business that carries out work for a property team.
  • Automation: a rule that does a routine step for you when something happens.

Plans and partners

  • Plan: your subscription tier: Base (free), Pro, Agency or Enterprise.
  • Property allowance: the number of properties included in your plan.
  • Trial: 14 days of Pro features for a new property-manager workspace, with no card required.
  • Partner (affiliate): someone who refers new paying customers in return for commission.
  • Cooling-off period: the 30 days after a referred customer's valid payment before the related commission becomes eligible.

AI

  • Agent (Beta): Propvora's AI assistant. It can help draft and summarise, but its suggestions must always be checked by a person. See Agent and your data.
