In Propvora, your account is you as a person, and a workspace is the organisation you work in. A letting agency, a landlord's own portfolio, a maintenance contractor and a referral partner would each have their own workspace. One account can belong to more than one workspace.
Workspaces are kept apart
Each workspace is isolated from every other workspace. The properties, people, documents and activity in one workspace are not visible from another, even when the same person belongs to both. This means you can, for example, run a lettings business and a separate supplier business from one sign-in without their information mixing.
Types of workspace
There are several kinds of workspace, each designed for a different job. You can see which kind you are in from the label under the workspace name in the top-left corner, and from the start of the web address.
- Property management (addresses beginning /w/): for letting agents, property managers and landlords running a portfolio and a team.
- Supplier (/s/): for contractors and supplier teams handling requests, jobs and schedules.
- Home (/c/): for homeowners and customers looking after their own home and requests.
- Affiliate (/a/): for partners tracking referrals, commissions and payouts.
- Portal (/p/): a limited view a property team shares with someone outside their organisation, such as a tenant or landlord. See What are portals?
How a workspace is created
A workspace is created when you complete onboarding. You choose what you want to set up, answer a few questions, and Propvora creates the workspace with you as its owner. The name you give it is shown to everyone who belongs to it. Read the Onboarding overview for the different routes.
Who belongs to a workspace
Each person in a workspace has a role: owner, admin, member or viewer. The person who completes onboarding becomes the owner. Roles are explained in Workspace roles.
Quick answers
Is a workspace the same as my account?
No. Your account is how you sign in. A workspace is an organisation you belong to, and one account can belong to several workspaces.
Can people in another workspace see my data?
No. Workspaces are isolated from one another, so records in your workspace are not visible from any other workspace.
