Each person who belongs to a workspace has a role. Roles describe how much responsibility someone has in that workspace. Because roles belong to the workspace, the same person can be an owner in one workspace and a member in another.
The four roles
- Owner: the person responsible for the workspace. Whoever completes onboarding and creates the workspace becomes its owner.
- Admin: someone trusted to help run the workspace alongside the owner.
- Member: a team member who carries out day-to-day work in the workspace.
- Viewer: someone who needs to see information but not change it.
Who becomes the owner
When you finish onboarding and press Create workspace, the workspace is created with you as owner. If someone else in your organisation should own it, it is simplest for that person to complete onboarding themselves.
Inviting your team
During property manager onboarding you can tell us your team size and which key roles you plan to invite. The setup screen notes that you can invite people and add billing details after setup.
Roles are not the same as platform admin
Being an owner or admin of your own workspace does not give you access to Propvora's platform admin area. That area is only for Blackwellen staff. See Admin sign-in and MFA.
Roles and portals
People outside your organisation, such as tenants, landlords or contractors, do not need a workspace role. They are given access to a portal instead, and the property team controls what they can see. See Portal access and permissions.
Quick answers
Can a workspace have more than one owner?
The person who creates the workspace is its owner. If you need to change who owns a workspace, contact info@blackwellen.com from the current owner's email address.
Do team members count towards my plan?
Plans include a set number of team seats. See Compare plans in the billing section for the current allowances.
